Canadian R&B singer Gyles’ playful songwriting, powerful voice, and 70s-soul styled production have ushered in a new sort of Motown sound. Her latest EP, Love & Denial, was awarded the Best Urban EP of 2012 at the 12th annual Independent Music Awards. She has also lent her voice to several Juno Awards winners (Carlos Morgan, Jully Black, Camille Douglas) and was given a headlining spot at the Montreal Funk Festival. Gyles’ upcoming fall 2013 performances will include dates at the Toronto Film Festival and Chatham’s Indie Music Festival.
